About
At Wellington First Assembly, we ensure your child’s experience is a positive and safe one. During our 9:15 AM Discovery hour Toddlers and below are nurtured in our Early Childhood rooms in Building East while kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade learn about Jesus in a safe, fun, hands-on and creative setting in our Children’s Ministry area in Building West.
We believe in safe environments. All of our volunteers undergo a training process and intensive background checks.
We believe strong kids come from strengthened families. So during the 10;30 am service, we invite all School age children to be in the main sanctuary for a kid-friendly service. A children's message, an interactive sermon, afterwards children are invited to go with Pastor Linda or Pastor Sam to learn more with a kid friendly activity and continued lesson.

worshiping with children
It is a joy to our Wellington First family to gather with all generations to worship Jesus. We believe that God put wiggles and giggles in His little ones and He is neither offended nor distracted by sound and movement but delights in their presence. So do we!
Choose a seat that allows your children to see and hear.
Offer your children something creative to do with their hands. Quiet toys or fidgets engage their hands while allowing them to ponder what is happening all around them. Pick up a Kid’s Kit worship resource bag to help with this at the side of the sanctuary or bring a favorite from home. Some ideas:
During worship, we sing, read, listen, and respond. Help your children follow the order of service with the picture icons in the bulletin. Be creative. Invite them to participate in the service. If you have a beginning reader, please help them follow along with the scripture reading. We have chosen to make the NLT Bible version as our common text because it is easiest to read.
Feel free to quietly talk through the service with your children. This creates an atmosphere of curiosity and engagement.
If you need to take your children out for a bit, please do bring them back! While they are taking a break, the foyer area as speakers so you can still see and hear.
We believe that God uses our time together in his presence to transform each of us. May the Lord guide and be glorified by our inter-generational family gathering and may each of our lives be transformed as we journey together.
